Radiant Survives Slashdot Effect

If you are a regular Slashdot reader, you may have noticed the recent article reviewing the Second Edition of The Ruby Way. In that article, of course, there was a link to the Ruby homepage. Here’s what one user said on the Radiant mailing list:

I just noticed that the ruby-lang site (powered by Radiant) got on /. which we all know creates lots of requests. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashdot_effect

I checked in on the ruby-lang site and it seems to be serving pages up quite nicely. Seeing how well it is handling the increased traffic makes me feel that much better about Radiant.

Congratulations, RadiantCMS, you’re officially “production-worthy”. Of course, we already knew that!
